Listings Information in the VISITING FIREMAN

The Directory Section of the VISITING FIREMAN contains the names, and addresses of those who participate in the book. Along with this information we include, at your option, a home, work, pager, or cell phone number. We also include your email address as part of the listing. In addition to your mailing information we, again at your option, include up to six lines of information about your fire service or fire buffing interests. Folks like you can then quickly locate others with similar interests or talents which might be beneficial. The Directory Section therefore reads like a telephone book of fire service enthusiasts. A typical listing looks like this:

In addition to being listed in the Directory Section, you are then entitled to place Classified Ads at $0.25/word or place Swapper’s Ads (items for trade or swap only) at no cost. Swapper’s Ads are limited to 50 words. Classified and Swapper’s ads are not accepted without a listing in the book.

Once a year, starting in late October, Listing Letters are printed and sent out to all previous VF participants. Just fill in the information and return the no effort form to us by December 31st of that year. Actual production of the starts in late January with the book going to the printers on or about March 1st. Once the books are received from the printers they are mailed out on or about April 1st.

Do not want to be listed in the book? No Problem. Many of our participants get the book directly from us without being listed. Just make a note on the listing form and we will get the book in the mail as soon as it is published. The book does sell out early - don’t delay! Order now for the latest edition!

The cost of the book depends on where you live. In the United States and Canada delivery is by 1st Class - Air or Priority Mail.

For European and Atlantic Rim addresses, Europe, UK, England, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Italy, and Africa, the book is sent by Global Priority Air Mail.

For Pacific Rim addresses, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and SE Asia, the book is sent 1st Class Air Mail.
